A police officer who has been issuing death threats to opposition legislators is being hunted
It was discovered he is an impostor and is using pictures of a pilot who died in a plane crash with Saitoti and Ojode
A police manhunt has been launched for a man going by the name Kipchirchir Alfie as seen on his social media accounts.
This comes on the heels of death threats he mande against Mombasa and Kilifi governors Hassan Joho and Amason Kingi respectively.
Kipchirchir posted a picture of a gun, saying that the government should not blame him for Johos death, but his enemies.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet, however, disclaimed Kpichirchir’s law enforcement credentials, saying that the man is an impostor.
“He claims to be a police officer but he is not. We are looking for him and we urge anyone who knows his whereabouts to help us find him,” said Boinnet as quoted in the Standard.
It turns out that the photos the impostor is using on social media are those of a pilot who was in the chopper that crashed and burned in Ngong, killing George Saitoti and Orwa Ojode in June 2012.
“A team has been dispatched to search for him. It seems he has been on Facebook since March 2015 and we hope to arrest him,” added Boinnet.
Prior to these threats, he had also announced that he would assassinate opposition legislators Millie Odhiambo and Junet Mohammed.
He had posted a picture of a box of bullets, captioning it that three bullets are for Junet and the rest are meant for Millie Mabona.
