Days after Jesus mwitu was spotted walking barefoot in the streets of Nairobi, and Tom Mboya to be more specific, we are told that another of Bible greats has been seen using the same route.

Prophet Elijah is in town fellas!

Panic gripped the city after word started doing rounds on social media a few days back that the Lawd was in town, panic because you know how Kenyans are – sinners to the core!

The rumour took a different twist when the photos of a knock-off Jesus appeared in the blogosphere. Here’s some advice Kenyans, before you start making quick conclusions that a Jesus is fake remember what is written in the scriptures, the real one will come like a thief. The knock-off Messiah you’re taking selfies with could just be the real deal!jesus_nairobi
The fact that the Jesus in Tom Mboya didn’t look like the Kiriamiti’s in the good book, didn’t stop Kenyans to believe the end of days was nigh.

A section of Kenyans even started repenting their sins in readiness for the apocalypse, regretting why the last time they stepped into a church was a decade ago.

Fast-forward to today and the internet is awash with images of a man who looks like prophet Elijah from the old testament. Now, who was there back in the days to identify all these faces? Anyway, that’s a story for another day.

As Tuko reports, Elijah was snapped standing at the square near Kencom dressed in old swathes and tie-up leather sandals that are resplendent of biblical times.

And here I am thinking the rapture to be a rare thing.

Here’s the photo:
